Hopeful veterinarian tech graduates will gravitate to these jobs, and those with recommendations from their college professors and instructors are often more likely to get these positions. Check the bulletin boards often, including those that are online, so you don't miss out on a potential opportunity to work with a local vet who hires new talent.

Online veterinarian forums

There are classified job websites all over the place, so it can be hard to narrow down your options for a job when you don't specifically see jobs for vet techs listed on them. You may have more luck finding vet tech jobs if you join an online veterinarian forum or page on a social media outlet and post your recent graduation on the site along with your credentials where necessary.

You can make yourself more known in a niche community when you look for vet tech jobs this way, and even if a veterinarian who is not hiring sees your posts, they can refer you to other colleagues who may be hiring.

Local newspaper classifieds

It's not always in online venues where you'll find more professional jobs that require specific training. You may only find these types of jobs in a classic form of advertisement, such as paper classifieds. If you don't get the local newspaper, consider investing in an online format so you can get the same information in a digital form you're more familiar with. Veterinarian jobs may be snatched up quickly and not posted often, so check the local paper daily and spread your need for a job around at local veterinary clinics, pet grooming salons, and other outlets to help you get hired more quickly.
